David,
Can't wait to see the film. My first vision of ever seeing polo was while in Az High School 85'. I watched the T.V. soap Santa Barbara. One day on the show the actors were at the S.B. Club. It was half time, the number 3 player came into the club to get a drink at the bar, fight with someone, then back out to play. At the time I just thought that was crazy drinking and playing, but what did I know about Polo. Who knew 5 years later I would end up married to a player playing at that very club. Never have I seen the real life and all the work that goes into the sport shown in movies or photos, even RL got it wrong with a picture of a player with the number 8 on his back. I look forward to your spin on what it really takes out of the horse, the man and the woman to be a part of the team.
Still living the Polo life style, now for our boys, Lobos Argentina

Dear David,

A MUST SEE film! Wow, as a woman orginally from Fort Worth, TX, who owned horses in Scottsdale, AZ, yet still misses their smell, along with hay and cow poo....you might understand that too. Plus, knowing a woman, in Houston, who used to be on that level of the 'polo world,' and family members who used to do the 'cutting horse circuit,'I and they, would see this film in a HEARTBEAT! And I am VERY picky about the films I see, even though I too have a passion for the art of film and straight plays too, along with art in general.

I commend YOU for following your passions, you obviously made the right job transition!

With Sincere Anticipation,

It was good talking with you today. I agree with this other person that says Great Site! I just finished going back and reading from the beginning. I know of two other productoin companies that should do something like this. I subscribed to the RSS and will be linking you out to all my contacts. Ride on yourself!

Hey David it was a pleasure working with you again, had a blast working up at Rancho Santa Barbara, and laughed like hell when you put the Tarantula in your hat... Funny how people are scared of the weirdest things... Looked like we got some good shots again and I look forward to checking out your sizzle reel when it is ready...

Kevin

Hi David, I read every bit of the blog and am fascinated, and excited to see that the film is becoming a reality. You are probably busy shooting the trailor at this point - or are you still looking for the female lead? As they say 'build the house and they will come' and I'm sure the perfect actress will gravitate to the project. A great love story along with polo action footage, fantastic - exciting! Patrick Abas, talk about enthusiasm, wonderful! I still would like to talk to you about locations - in Mexico: spectacular - polo fields and beaches. I also would very much love to read the script! I might be able to drum up some EP $ up here in Northern California, if not perhaps come in myself. I am confident that I can generate some valuable interest. Great to hear of all the progress!

Yeah Yeah!!!
Stop crying ............. I'll sign your bloody guest book ;-)
David thanks for the lovely words, you have done it. I'm blushing and it isn’t from the heat here in Riyadh (its 40+ now every day).
I'm glad I got the opportunity when it presented it self. I have all the confidence that it will be an success. The first steps are the hardest and use a lot of energy, you can compare it with a freight train getting underway. It takes 'for ever' to get moving but after that ................

So Polo world I would say keep your eye on this blog and keep supporting us with your positive energy and before you know it we will be sitting with popcorn filled buckets in a dark room staring at a mega screen and looking at the dynamics and dramatics of the first ever Polo Feature Film (PFF).

Ciao 4 now

David, first, thank you for sending the script to me. As busy as I find myself these days, I found it difficult to put down and finished it last evening.Without ruining the story for others who may not have yet read it, I simply will say that it touched me deeply both for its portrayal of the sport you obviously admire and respect, but for your characters' passion for the true "kings" of the sport (the horses - and what a good line that was) and their passion for one another - and not just Cut and Cat, but the passion of the Southern patron for Cut too, and Carmen for her daughter, etc. I look forward to seeing your vision played out on screen and think the story has broad international appeal. Should you need assistance with making appropriate international contacts, I am glad to share those I may have available to me with you. Regards.
